Tyler is a kinesthetic learner, he learns through physical activity. I can't hold a letter "A" infront of him and have him understand and remember that it's an "A". He needs to jump, stomp, or hit an "A". He also learns through making his letters with his hands. That is where shaving cream comes in.
Have you ever tried to play with shaving cream? It's cool, creamy, smooth, fluffy, and it makes a wonderful mess. But it's a really great way for Tyler to feel his letters, while he draws them in the shaving cream. It's also a great way for two brothers to have a lot of fun together which is more important than learning letters to me.

Blessings!
