Enjoying Bonding

I don't think I ever truly understood until I became a parent.  In all the years I babysat, I never grasped the enormous amount of trust a parent puts into someone when they allow them to watch their child.

Last week Tim and Melissa put that trust into me so they could take a much deserved anniversary trip to Miami.  They flew me out last Wednesday and I got to spend almost a full 6 days with my very spirited niece Lina.

I loved every minute of the trip... even my early wakeup calls from Lina when she pops her head up and announces the day has begun.

What I think I loved most, is that I really got to know Lina in a way that I haven't been able too before.  It was just her and I, alone in the big city.

I can't wait to share some of what I captured of my week in New York with Lina.  A lot of my pictures were a blur and if you knew Lina you would know why... that girl NEVER sits still, but she is the cutest little Dutch Peruvian girl ever and as I share pictures with you, you will see why...
