Lately

Sunday, Jilli was able to control the wii for a short period of time. She loves to play wii sports. If you are invited to play with her, you better be ready, she is really good. She is especially good at tennis. She LOVES playing tennis (and golf, but she isn't as good at that...she wants to whack the ball and there are times, like when you putt, that you can't whack it). Anyway, she loves playing tennis, she beats Micah all the time (and if I am not ready for her she will beat me too).

The other day Micah was trying his hardest to beat her and she just walked away from the game, into the kitchen, opened the frig took a drink out of her cup came back to the living room all the while "playing" tennis and scoring points against Micah who was standing in front of the TV WATCHING the game he was playing. We were all laughing. We have no idea how she does it, she just does.

She is just so stinking cute playing her sports that it's hard not to stop what you are doing and watch her play!

Many have been asking how Romeo is doing. He has been great! His first night he was a little unsure and was restless during the night, not bad, just a little. We have been going for almost nightly walks, once the kids go to bed. It has been great for me. I have started to train again, not much really, it's hard to run with snow pants and huge boots on (it's been FREEZING), but I run about .25 miles (not much I know) before I walk fast for the rest of my walk. The kids are LOVING having a dog again. They can't wait to feed him, play with him, hug him, get him out of his kennel in the morning or when we come home from errands. For some reason it makes our house feel even more like a home.

Romeo follows me around EVERYWHERE, it is rare that I can leave a room without him follow me. It kind of feels like when the kids were at that very special age of separation anxiety and if I left the room they would either start crying for me or crawling after me. It's a weird assurance that I am missed and loved :-) We are very much enjoying having the love of an animal again. He is filling a special place in all our hearts that cracked when we lost Nala.

I was just sharing with Kevin the other day that all of our dogs have had 2 syllable names and Romeo's is 3...so by default I think we have started to shorten his name... we have started to call him Romey, Romes, and Tyler's special name for him Homes. Leave it to Tyty to come up with that! He is such a funny kid!

The other day we were sitting at the table and I had him on my lap. I was playing with him and told him that I was going to tie him in a knot. I took his arms and pretended that I was tying a knot. I held his arms so that he couldn't move and he said...."Mommy, your hurting my circuits!" Kevin and I just about fell out of our chairs laughing!

That's about all for now....
Blessings!!
