Saturday was the end of the first season of tball for our family. It was a bitter sweet day. It will be nice not to have to be somewhere every week, but on the flip side, it is sad because we have enjoyed watching Micah grow while learning the game. He is turning into a great ball player.
Saturday, his last game, he played the best game thus far and as he puts it...."I had to play great it was my last game." He was playing 2nd base, the ball was hit right too him...he grabs it and makes it to the base before the runner. He (and we) were so excited! He was jumping up and down with a huge smile on his face. Then...the next hitter stepped up to the plate and the ball was hit again, right too him and he grabs it and makes it to the base before the runner...again! He got a total of 4 outs that game! Plus he is hitting like a home run hitter! He doesn't have a huge swing, but that ball just flies when he hits it. We have even heard some of the coaches on the other teams tell their kids to be ready because he is a big hitter. Kevin and I are like roosters puffing our chests out we are so proud of him. It's not that we are so proud of him because he is good, it's because he tries his best. He also is a kid who gets just as excited when one of his friends makes a good play or hits a good hit. That is such a great quality to have..it's not all about him!

Micah, thanks for making our first season of tball a great one! Daddy and Mommy are so VERY proud of you!
