The Meltdown

I don't totally remember why.  I think it was because we asked for one more picture, anyway, Tyler had a meltdown, he sat down, with his back to us and refused to talk, walk or move.  So I did the only thing I could, I walked away.  I kept my eye on him the whole time but he didn't know that.  As soon as he couldn't see me, he got up and started walking my way.  But before I walked away, I snapped a few pictures, just to remember the moment by.

Someday we will look back and laugh at this...

Squinty Pictures

Sun was a little too bright.  Not great for picture taking.  But it's a yearly thing, so you just have to suffer through it.  Tyler required my sunglasses for this picture session, the other two just did their best to squint their way through it.  Tyler as always, was in rare form.

The Horse

Tyler, always the one looking for the next joke, thought it be funny to lay under the horse's hoof and look like he was about to get stepped on.

Then he wanted to look like he was holding up the hoof, check out his face.

 Jilli tried, but she just can't pull it off like Tyler.  She giggles too much.

The Hill

There is a huge hill at FMG that the kids L.O.V.E roll down.  I cringe... all I see is grass stains.  But, there are times that even I let go and allow the fun that might include a little dirt.

**side note** this week Kevin was working on one of our underground sprinkler heads.  He was digging a hole around it.  It was a big muddy mess.  Micah asked if he could help.  So Kev said "sure go ahead and get your hands dirty."  Micah stuck his hands in the mud and said "So, this is what real mud feels like."  Kevin and I just started laughing.  Guess I haven't given my kids the opportunity to "play in the mud" before.

OK, back to The Hill.

The boys started rolling down, but Jilli had chosen a skirt to wear to the Gardens that day, so she could only run down the hill.

The Landing

Every year there are a few of us that look forward to seeing if a butterfly will land on us.  And there is a few of us (Tyler) that doesn't want anything to do with a butterfly landing anywhere near us.

This year the "Crown of Wisdom" was the perfect landing spot.

 I did get one to sit on my finger for a little while.

We will see if maybe next year we can get Tyler to stand still long enough to have one land on him.  If not, maybe I can take some pictures of his "Don't Land On Me Butterfly" dance.  He's got some moves!
